Selezione Naturale ( Natural Selection ) is the first anthology book about Hitnes.
Muralist, draftsman, engraver, painter and adventurer, this Roman-born Italian travels through modern city jungles and forests around the globe, observing and capturing forms and shapes of the natural world.
All these experiences and observations are translated into his artworks.
This book presents for the the first time a selection of his best works, realized during the last 10 years.
From the inner world of his microscopic etchings and water-colored sketchbooks to the colorful large-scale murals through these images we can follow the footsteps of his many adventures in places like China, Australia, Mexico, Russia, Norway, Colombia, and the United States.
Birds, sharks, reptiles, amphibians, impossible oceans and lysergic jungles all these things are the targets of Hitnes “image hunting” his deep observations about nature are reflected in every one of these 150 pages.
The book has a ‘remixable’ jacket cover that can be folded in different ways and it is also a double face poster (62×45 cm)
